Europa Donna Luxembourg
Europa Donna Luxembourg has set itself the objective of learning about the needs and problems of people affected by breast cancer and of deploying different means to optimize their care during diagnosis, treatment, social reintegration and to support them during this difficult period.
In Luxembourg, each year, approximately 500 women are affected by breast cancer. Studies show that in 25 to 33% of breast cancers, excess weight and physical inactivity could be the cause. Thanks to awareness campaigns and actions organized by Europa Donna, the taboo of the disease is increasingly being lifted.
Europa Donna makes women aware of practicing self-palpation and following the Mammography program of the Ministry of Health to the letter, if applicable.
Europa Donna also motivates to respect a healthy lifestyle (healthy diet, stress management).
Through the Broschtkriibslaf, a recreational race, we aim to raise awareness of the importance of physical activities in preventing illness and we are also launching a fundraiser to support those affected and their families.
